Ben Sures

We are thrilled to welcome Edmonton troubadour Ben Sures back to Blueberry. One of Alberta’s most impressive artists and a roots veteran with decades of experience, Sures has released ten albums and like the finest of folksingers, he possesses the heart and soul of the poet.

Guitarist Sures shares engaging, heartfelt stories in song, a natural performer with an instinct for making connection through humour. Sures is immersed in the music’s history, traditions informing this contemporary songwriter’s music. His most recent album The Story That Lived Here was Number One on CKUA Radio and was Top Ten on national college charts.

Winner of international songwriting contests, Sures has performed across Canada and internationally, and is the author of the book The Boy Who Walked Backwards. He has also written a poem about Alfie Myhre which many will fondly recall from his previous Blueberry appearance.
