Saturday Afternoon - 2012 Festival

Thank You Volunteers

Here's a great big THANK YOU to all the volunteers that put their heart & soul into the 2012 festival.
The festival would not have been such a success without all of you and your hard work.
We hope to see you all back at the 2013 Blueberry Festival. It's shaping up to be another great one!

2013 Custom Blueberry/Martin
HD-28 "V" Guitar Raffle

We're doing it again! We're raffling off another customized Martin guitar, but this time it's a HD-28 "V" (vintage), to be awarded to one lucky winner during the 2013 festival.

We've worked with Martin Guitars & Myhre's Music to bring you this customized guitar with the Blueberry Logo inlaid in the pickguard, and the year "2013" inlaid in the fretboard. This truly makes this guitar a "one of a kind"!.  You’ll be proud to play this spectacular instrument at your next jam session, or at your next gig.

Tickets will be available at Myhre’s Music, 8735 – 118 Avenue in Edmonton, or at various events at Fiddler’s Roost, 8906 - 99 Street in Edmonton. Of course, you can also get your tickets on the grounds of the 2013 Blueberry Bluegrass Festival. Tickets are in limited quantities, so don’t miss your chance at winning this fine, one of a kind guitar.

Marty Stuart's "Storm Song"

Marty Stuart wrote a song about the storm that blew through on Saturday afternoon of the 2009 festival and performed it for us all on that Sunday. He gave us his handwritten lyrics to that song, and we'd like to share them with you. (click on it to make it larger)

Will Ballantyne & Rhonda Vincent - 2012

Rhonda Vincent asked for audience participation on the Sunday gospel hour during the 2012 festival. A young man from Unity, Saskatchewan got up and sang Long Black Train and just blew everyone away. Rhonda was so impressed that she invited Will Ballantyne to be her guest to perform in Nashville on February 2nd, 2013, on the legendary Midnite Jamboree!

Will did a great job and sang his heart out. He sounded great! I'm sure all the Nashville big-wigs will be lining up to sign him to a big contract! We're so proud of you Will! Congratulations on a job well done!

Keep an eye out for more details and news. We'll post right here, add posts to our Blueberry Facebook page, and we'll tweet on Blueberry Twitter too!
